Kitchen

Lower Leys kitchen has a charming countryside feel with wood floors, pale green wood units and classic wood beams, which nicely combine with the room's neutral décor. This bright and spacious double aspect kitchen has been finished to a high standard with a good collection of facilities for couples and families to take advantage of.

The well-equipped kitchen features a fridge, separate chest freezer, electric oven with hob and dishwasher. There is also a washer/dryer for those needing to get muddy clothes clean for another day exploring Exmoor.

In the centre of the kitchen is a country pine dining table where up to four can enjoy a full English breakfast or family meal. There is also a full array of cutlery and crockery in Lower Leys, so all occasions can easily be catered for.

Living Room

Elegant sophistication meets countryside magic in Lower Leys living room. The lounge has a nice mix of old and new with wood floors and artistic black and white photos effortlessly combining to give the Exmoor cottage lounge a modern feel.

The comfortable cream three-seater leather sofa blends in nicely with the green tartan sofa and cream walls, which help to retain Lower Leys countryside roots. The two sofas are the ideal place to take advantage of the panoramic views over the fields and Withypool Common, or for sitting back and relaxing whilst watching the TV or a family DVD.

A handy downstairs cloakroom can be accessed off the main hall and is very useful for avoiding climbing the stairs to make use of one of the en-suite bathrooms.

Master Bedroom

The pale blue Master Bedroom is a delightful room for enjoying a good night's sleep after a day exploring the National Park. This wonderfully bright and spacious bedroom has a modern contemporary feel with bedside lights suspended from the ceiling, a feature lamp in the shape of a rabbit and quirky door handles on the built in wardrobe. The bedroom is fun and sophisticated and, with its magnificent Exmoor views, it is perfect for all ages.

At the heart of the Master Bedroom is the King Size bed that can also be split into two singles depending on your and your family's requirements. Just let us know your desired bed set up when you book and we will arrange it for your arrival.

Master Bedroom En-Suite Shower Room

The Master Bedroom has a lovely en-suite bathroom. With its white wood panelling and skylight it is wonderfully bright, and the pale lilac walls help to create a calming atmosphere. The bathroom is also nice and warm with a heated towel rail and radiator to prevent chilly mornings. The en-suite features a power shower with adjustable head that can be altered to a wide range of heights, as well as a loo and hand wash basin with mirror.

Double/Twin Bedroom

Depending on who is visiting Lower Leys, the second bedroom can be set up either as a twin or second double with the advantage of zip and link beds. This useful bedroom flexibility allows Lower Leys to be booked by two couples or a family.

The pretty bedroom is nice and bright with a large sash window overlooking the cottage's garden. The décor is modern and stylish with pale lilac walls effortlessly complimented by pale cream bed spreads and smoky blue curtains. The cottage's modern twists continue with bedside lights draped from the ceiling and modern contemporary artwork adorning the walls.

Double/Twin Bedroom En-Suite Bathroom

The attractive en-suite bathroom is warm and spacious and features a classic white suite with bath, hand wash basin and loo. The skylight allows plenty of light to reach every corner and with the bathroom's white wood panelling and pastel coloured walls, the room is nice and bright. Damp towels are also a thing of the past in this cosy modern bathroom that has a towel rail fitted above the radiator.

Garden

The garden at Lower Leys is located to the front of the cottage to take advantage of the wonderful views of Exmoor. The large enclosed garden is mainly laid to lawn but is bordered by a good assortment of seasonal flowers, so expect a colourful sea of daffodils if staying over the Easter holidays.

It is a nice garden for dogs and children with plenty of room for outdoor games, and parents can relax with a glass of wine admiring the view, safe in the knowledge that it is fully fenced and away from any roads.

Lower Leys garden features a wood table with bench that allows guests to enjoy alfresco dinners and summer evening BBQ's, all with the beautiful National Park as a backdrop.
